AIDA is especially family-strong in the German-speaking market. Mein Schiff often suits families who prefer it calmer.
International mega-ships have huge kids’ areas, but more bustle and often English as the main language.
Cabin and location
Secure connecting cabins or cabins with sofa beds early. Mid decks and quieter corridors help with sleep.
Balcony is a luxury, but insides often suffice – children are out a lot anyway.
Daily life onboard
Use Kids Club hours, buffet and early shows. Pack sun protection, adapters and small snacks in carry-on.
- Check club age limits
- Take muster & wristbands seriously
- Respect quiet hours
In short
From what age does it make sense?
Possible even with toddlers; often more relaxed from Kids Club age. Babies need more planning for food and sleep.
