In the German-speaking market, AIDA is one of the strongest family brands: age-banded clubs, action decks on the large ships, and onboard life that factors in parents and children. Before you book, align clubs, cabin location and kids’ drinks packages (FUN / ALL IN) – not once you are already onboard.

Kids clubs & age groups
Care is typically age-banded: Mini Club (on selected ships), Kids Club and a teens area. Opening hours and age limits can vary slightly by ship and season – the booking flow and onboard information are binding.
Clubs are usually included in the cruise fare; extras such as private babysitting or special workshops may cost more. On the first sea day, the club introduction is worth it so children and parents know the routine.

Action decks & ship choice

For a first family cruise, short trips from German ports (Baltic/North Sea) or mild Canaries itineraries work well: less flight stress, shorter travel, still the club-ship feel.

Family cabins & practical planning

Consider locking children’s cruise cards for spending. Check medical notes, pushchair rules and show seat reservations in advance.
