AIDA Christmas
Christmas onboard means festive décor from the first Advent, Christmas gala, culinary highlights and often a gift moment – under palms or with winter feeling. The 2026/27 programme covers the whole fleet; concrete departures and prices are daily.
As of: August 2026 (orientation, without guarantee).
What to expect onboard
From the first Advent the ships are decorated for Christmas (each ship individually). Typical are Advent/Christmas programmes, shows, family offers and a festive menu – intensity and extras can vary by ship and route.
- Christmas gala and entertainment in festive style
- Dining: buffets, specialties and Christmas classics (mulled wine, cocoa, biscuits – depending on offer)
- Kids & teens: crafts, shows and club care
- If you want to escape the bustle: beach, pool and wellness stay part of club-ship life
Typical Christmas destinations 2026
The fleet spreads across warm and winter destinations. Orientation for 2026 (schedules can change):

Booking & prices
Festive sailings are often in demand early – especially preferred ships and family cabins. PREMIUM/ALL IN fares ease planning; spontaneous bookings are possible, but choice shrinks.
From-prices swing strongly by date, cabin and flight. We deliberately list no euro amounts here: always check via cruise search or directly with AIDA.
- Include transfer (flight/Rail&Fly) and drinks package (FUN/ALL IN) in the total price
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve often combinable in one cruise – check length
- Gift idea: AIDA vouchers / myAIDA experiences instead of fixed dates
Frequently asked questions
Can I spend Christmas with AIDA in the sun?
Yes. Classics are Canaries/Madeira, Caribbean and Orient. Alternatively there are winter routes in Northern Europe and the Baltic.
Is there an ice rink at Christmas?
On selected ships and at certain times there can be seasonal specials – not fleet-wide and not year-round. Check the current programme onboard or in myAIDA.
Are Christmas cruises more expensive?
Holidays often sit above the seasonal average, especially with flights and popular cabins. Book early and compare the total price including extras.
